Former Everton forward Yakubu has offered his thoughts on Richarlison.

Former Premier League striker Yakubu has claimed that Everton’s high-flying attacker Richarlison will be a ‘top striker’.
The Toffees purchased Richarlison from Watford for £50 million in the summer, with some supporters questioning the substantial fee paid for the Brazilian.
Under Marco Silva at Vicarage Road, prior to his sacking, Richarlison went on to score only five goals in his debut season in England top-flight.
But with Silva bringing the highly-rated youngster to Goodison Park, he has already surpassed that mark netting eight goals in his first 16 appearances for the Merseyside club.
Former Everton hit-man Yakubu offered nothing but praise for the 21-year-old as he made a number of bold claims about his future.
“Richarlison is smart and clever,” Yakubu told Everton’s official website.
“I have watched him since he was at Watford. If he continues to do what he is doing, you will see an improvement. He is going to be a top striker. I think he can be right up there in the goalscoring charts.”

During his career in England’s top-flight, Yakubu represented a number of clubs including Everton, Middlesbrough and Portsmouth – he was five shy of hitting the 100 goal mark in the Premier League.
Everton are currently eighth in the Premier League table, two points off sixth-placed Manchester United, but dropped points at the weekend could potentially see them fall into the bottom half.
Silva’s men welcome third-placed Tottenham Hotspur to Goodison Park on Sunday before a busy Christmas schedule will see them travel to Burnley and Brighton.
