West Ham United claimed a 1-0 victory over Swansea City on Saturday.

West Ham United claimed a dramatic 1-0 home win over Swansea City on Saturday afternoon – and WWE legend Triple H has offered his view on the victory to Sky Sports.

The Hammers went into the game desperately needing a win having lost 3-2 at home to London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in their previous Premier League game, but they looked to be enduring a frustrating afternoon.

Slaven Bilic’s men were struggling to break down Paul Clement’s Swansea side, with Andy Carroll hitting the woodwork before Arthur Masuaku supplied Diafra Sakho in injury time to score the winning goal.

West Ham’s narrow 1-0 win somewhat eases the pressure on manager Bilic, but it is just a second Premier League win in seven games this season for the Hammers.

More will be needed after the international break, with West Ham still only just points clear of the relegation zone after four defeats in the first seven, with Bilic still fighting for some semblance of consistency.

West Ham have a number of celebrity fans who would have loved Saturday’s victory, such as Ray Winstone and James Corden, but it’s WWE legend Triple H who has had his say.

Otherwise known as Paul Levesque, 14-time WWE Champion Triple H has often made reference to his support of West Ham, and he spoke to Sky Sports on Monday about the Hammers, just a month away from WWE’s UK tour.

The current Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative for WWE suggested that whilst Sakho’s winner game at the very end, a win is a win – and West Ham must use that dramatic win to gain confidence moving forward.

“Here’s the thing, it’s only last second but a win is a win,” said Triple H. “So we take the win and hopefully we will capitalise on that and make it into something bigger.”

“That brings the confidence to you, now you just got to capitalise on that, you get a bit of momentum going and next thing you know the whole complexion changes,” he added.
