While Tottenham Hotspur have been defensively terrible in recent weeks and conceded bad goals against Liverpool at the weekend, one of their former players, Cameron Carter-Vickers, is going from strength to strength at Celtic.
Tottenham have been really bad defensively against Bournemouth, Newcastle United, Manchester United and Liverpool.
Spurs are sloppy at the back at the moment, and it seems that the defenders have forgotten how to do the basics.
While Tottenham’s season is falling apart, Celtic are on course to win yet another domestic treble.
Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Cameron Carter-Vickers flourishing at Celtic
On Sunday afternoon, Celtic beat bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers 1-0 in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.
Rangers did not have the best of times in the first 45 minutes, but Michael Beale’s side stepped up their game in the second period.
Carter-Vickers, too, raised his game and was a rock at the back.
Rangers failed to score and lost the semi-final tie.
Celtic have already won the Scottish League Cup this season.

The Bhoys are set to win the Scottish Premiership title, and now they will play in the final of the Scottish Cup.
Against Rangers on Sunday, Carter-Vickers made a brilliant clearance from under own crossbar and kept the Rangers attackers at bay.
‘A warrior’
And former Celtic striker Chris Sutton was impressed, describing the USA international centre-back as “a warrior”.
Carter-Vickers was on the books of Tottenham from 2009 until 2022.
During those years at the North London club, the central defender failed to make a single appearance in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old was deemed just not good enough.
Carter-Vickers had loan spells at Sheffield United, Ipswich Town, Swansea City, Stoke City, Luton Town, AFC Bournemouth and Celtic while he was under contract at Tottenham.
And then in the summer of 2022, Spurs sold the American defender to Celtic for £6 million (The Daily Mail).
During his loan spell at the Hoops last season, Carter-Vickers won the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish League Cup.
And this season, he could do one better by wining the Scottish Cup as well with the Hoops.
Things are going well for Carter-Vickers since his departure from Spurs.
