Celtic have high hopes for Odsonne Edouard.

Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard struck out against St Mirren on Friday night in the champions’ goalless draw.
It was a frustrating game for the young striker, and had some fans on social media calling for Leigh Griffiths to be made first choice.
Ex-Celtic striker John Hartson had told The Evening Times last week that he wanted ‘fabulous’ Edouard to be given the lead in Moussa Dembele’s departure.
The game against St Mirren was a warning, to fans and pundits alike, a reminder, that Edouard is still raw and has a lot to learn.
Celtic paid PSG a fee of £9 million to sign Edouard in the summer, a club record fee.
The fee was a big commitment from Celtic, but it must be noted that they paid to sign potential, rather than the finished product.

If Edouard was the freescoring prolific striker Celtic crave, PSG would not have let him leave so easily.
Edouard is still likely to get close to 20 goals over the course of the season, its just that he will have a few games like this along the way.
It might seem obvious, yet if Celtic pundits and fans can bear this in mind, critical reaction to Edouard’s misfires will be kept in context and not taken out of proportion.
He is a promising striker, one who is learning his trade on the job. He has shown excellent signs so far, and so long as the pressure is not too great, he will continue to make good progress.
