Some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola’s new comments about the Gunners.

Guardiola has said that although he has respect for Arsenal on the pitch, he does not have any for the North London outfit off it.

The former Barcelona boss told BBC Sport: “Opponents always deserve my respect and credit. I have all the respect for what Arsenal are on the pitch. Not much off the pitch, but on the pitch, a lot.”

According to BBC Sport, City believe that Premier League rivals Arsenal were a chief instigator behind a collective request by as many as eight Premier League clubs for the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) not to allow a delay to the Citizens’ European ban pending appeal.

Earlier this month, CAS overturned a two-year European suspension on City imposed by UEFA.

However, prior to the ruling, there were doubts that due to the global health crisis and the pause in football, a decision will not be made before next season.

City are set to finish second in the Premier League this season and will play in the Champions League in 2020-21, while Arsenal are unlikely to be in the Europa League.
