Everton are set to take on West Bromwich Albion at Goodison Park tomorrow.
Ray Wilkins has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 10th March, that if Everton do not score early against West Bromwich Albion tomorrow, they could be in trouble.
The Baggies go into the match at Goodison Park as underdogs, but they have surpassed expectations this season.
Tony Pulis’ side have already reached the 40-point mark, and currently sit in eighth place in the Premier League table.
And Wilkins believes that Everton could be set for a tough afternoon, when they take on West Brom.
“I think they have to score early. Tony’s sides can grind out results. I’m going for a draw,” the former Chelsea and Aston Villa assistant boss said.
Everton head into their match against Albion on the back of a 3-2 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur.
West Brom also suffered a loss in their last outing, which came against Crystal Palace at home.
The Eagles ran out 2-0 winners at the Hawthorns, as Pulis’ side put in one of their worst performances of the campaign.
If the Baggies are able to cause an upset victory on Merseyside, they will close the gap to Everton to just one point.
