Tim Sherwood has expressed his disappointment on Sky Sports News (4:33pm, February 18, 2023) at the performance of Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford against Everton at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa manager has said that Bamford looked a shadow of his former self, as Leeds lost to Everton.
The Toffees got the better of the Whites 1-0 at home.
The only goal of the game came in the second half.
Bamford started the match for Leeds, but the £7 million (The Yorkshire Evening Post) striker had a poor game.
The English striker could not really trouble the Everton centre-backs and could not make a big impact in and around the Toffees’ penalty box.
Bamford was often isolated upfront.
There was no lack of effort from the Leeds striker, but he simply did not have a good game.
And Sherwood was not impressed, as Leeds remain in grave danger of getting relegated from the Premier League to the Championship at the end of the season.
