Graeme Souness has said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:28pm, January 1, 2023) that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is looking a shadow of himself.

The Liverpool legend made the comment about Kane after watching him in action for Tottenham against Aston Villa at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Sky Sports pundit, who started his career at Tottenham, was not impressed by the £200,000-a-week (SalarySport) striker.

Tottenham lost the match 2-0.

Graeme Souness on Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane

When asked why he thinks Tottenham could still finish in the Premier League top four, Souness said: ”Harry Kane. But Harry is looking like a shadow.”

Staying positive

In our view, Tottenham Hotspur fans need not worry about Harry Kane at all.

He will come good.

Like he always does.

Yes, Kane struggled against Villa, and the 29-year-old striker did not have a particularly great 2022 Qatar World Cup with England.

However, we know that Kane is one of the best strikers in the world who has been a force to be reckoned with in the Premier League for years.

The striker has scored 13 goals and given one assist in 17 Premier League matches for Spurs so far this season.

So far in his career, Kane has scored 196 goals and created 73 big chances in 299 Premier League matches.
