Speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Ian Wright has been waxing-lyrical about West Ham and their signing of Jarrod Bowen.

West Ham are certainly the flavour of the month right now. David Moyes’ side are once again defying all expectations and every pundit in the country is rightly purring over the Hammers.

There are so many players to praise within this squad. Declan Rice runs every game he plays these days, Kurt Zouma is a brick wall at the back and Michail Antonio is a handful for any defence.

Wright had special praise for Bowen, claiming that he was a sensational signing and he has the potential to be a sensational player.

What’s been said?

Wright had nothing but good things to say about Bowen.

“Jarrod Bowen, I don’t know if you saw it, but Chris Wilder did a piece on him on Match of the Day 2 about the work he puts in down that right side. Jesus Christ, he got eight goals last season, if he can continue to get goals and play like that, we’re talking about a sensational player here in Jarrod Bowen, a sensational player and a sensational find,” Wright said.

What a signing

So much has been made of West Ham’s recruitment in recent seasons, but Bowen may be the best signing they’ve made.

Yes, Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal have been inspired signings, but West Ham landed an absolute bargain with Bowen as well.

The winger works so hard while he’s also got an incredible amount of quality on the ball.

Wright is spot on when he says that the Englishman could be a sensational player.
