Liverpool play host to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the fourth round of the FA Cup tomorrow.

Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson made his prediction for the FA Cup fourth round tie between Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers tomorrow, when writing his regular predictions column for Sky Sports.

The Reds have struggled of late, and appear to be running out of ideas, with the absence of Sadio Mane not helping matters.

Jürgen Klopp’s men have won just one of their last seven outings in all competitions, and tomorrow’s game against Wolves will be far from a foregone conclusion, with Lambert’s men entering the game on the back of four wins from their last seven, and seemingly improving by the week.

And Merson explained how it won’t be easy for the Merseyside outfit tomorrow, when making his prediction for Sky Sports, and highlighted how the Liverpool team seem to have tired over recent weeks:

“Liverpool appear to have hit a brick wall, they look tired. On a positive note, though, they are making the chances, they’re just not putting them away. This a real opportunity for Wolves because I can’t see Jurgen Klopp playing a strong team, what with Chelsea on the horizon. I have to go for a Liverpool win because they’re at home, but things could be difficult for them at Anfield.”

Prediction: Liverpool 2-0 Wolves

Liverpool fans will be desperate for their side to win tomorrow, after their recent disappointment in the EFL Cup, but Wolves fans will be heading to Anfield in good spirits, hoping for their side to progress to the fifth round, as they look to win the trophy for the first time since 1960.
