Arsenal fans are delighted that Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has praised both Granit Xhaka and Dani Ceballos.
Arsenal beat Leeds 4-2 at the weekend, with Leeds failing to get to terms with their hosts for large periods of the match.
Bielsa’s men did stage a late fight back, but they were largely second best.
And the Leeds boss felt that his side struggled to deal with Arsenal’s midfielders.
He said to Leeds Live: “We didn’t manage to control Xhaka and Ceballos.”
The comments have pleased Arsenal fans as Xhaka continues to earn more praise, with some surprised that their midfielder is now even drawing plaudits from opposition managers.
Xhaka has not always been the most popular member of Arsenal’s squad with supporters, but he has played a key role under multiple different managers now and he is enjoying an excellent run of form.
Mikel Arteta has shown great faith in the Swiss international, and the Spaniard is likely to feel his trust is being rewarded by the Arsenal man right now.
Arsenal’s win over Leeds at the weekend meant that Arteta’s side actually leapfrogged the newly promoted outfit.
