Jose Mourinho has taken to Instagram to send a message to Sergio Reguilon following the 2-0 win over Manchester City.
The former Real Madrid boss posted the following.
Now, there’s a lot of ambiguity here.
We have no idea what promise was made between Reguilon and Mourinho, nor are we particularly sure what kind of meat the pair are eating in the photo.
However, the Spain international – who earns £48,077-a-week – looks pretty happy, as does the Spurs boss despite his gift costing him £500.
What could the promise possibly have been?
It can’t have been clean-sheet related like when Claudio Ranieri promised his Leicester squad free pizza if they finally managed a shut-out – Tottenham kept a clean-sheet against West Brom before the international break.
Perhaps Mourinho and Reguilon bet on whether or not Spurs would be top of the Premier League after nine games, which they are – however, it seems unlikely that the Portuguese coach would bet against that happening.
The possibilities are endless. Regardless of the uncertainty, it definitely seems like it’s a happy camp at Tottenham right now following Saturday’s exceptional win.
The north Londoners are top of the Premier League on goal difference, and look to have every chance of lifting their first Premier League title.
