According to the latest reports in Italy, Inter could tie up a deal for Cardiff City man Gary Medel before the end of the working day.
Inter are closing in on securing the services of Chilean international Gary Medel and a deal could be complete within the next few hours.
The Nerazzurri have been in talks with Cardiff City for a while and are said to be on the brink of coming to an arrangement.
Talks had been complicated by Inter’s desire for a loan agreement while Cardiff would initially only discuss a permanent transfer.
Medel impressed the Italian club with his performances during the World Cup and the San Siro outfit are keen to bring him in to strengthen a squad that could only manage Europa League qualification last term.
It is suggested that Inter will call Cardiff at some point today to iron out the agreement between the two clubs, but a deal is said to be imminent.
Tuttosport believes that a deal would only be announced next week when Medel would be able to join up with his new teammates for pre-season training.
Medel, who is 26, signed for Cardiff last summer from Sevilla for a club record fee of £11 million and it isn’t clear whether Inter have been able to agree a loan, which is their preferred option, or will need to spend heavily to get their man.
