Leeds are hoping to sign Jay-Roy Grot.

Grot is a Dutch under-21 international but he is not a player Leeds fans would have considered as an option to replace top scorer Chris Wood after his sale to Burnley.
Technical director Victor Orta has shown already this summer his scouting network is willing to pluck a signing from left-field, and the early success of Samu Saiz and Ezgjan Alioksi have built him early credit.

Grot is player with potential rather than proven ability, but he has already scored goals for NEC’s first team in Holland.
The 19-year-old is already a towering figure at over six foot and has a powerful frame which suggests he is cut out to handle the rigours of the Championship.
Grot is unlikely to be the only striker arriving at Leeds before the transfer window closes, which will ease pressure on him to become an instant success.
Strikers from Holland have had a mixed success rate in England, but that is no reason to write him off, in fact fans are highly positive ahead of his potential arrival.
