Paul Merson has said on Sky Sports News (5:22pm, February 4, 2023) that Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah looked poor against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Saturday.

The former Arsenal star was not impressed by how Salah played for Liverpool in their defeat to Wolves away from home.

The Sky Sports pundit believes that the £34.3 million (Sky Sports) Egyptian forward was a million miles off.

Disappointing performance

In our view, Mohamed Salah had a poor game for Liverpool against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The former Chelsea attacker curled a first-half effort wide.

Salah did not do much defensively, and he did not offer much in attack.

It was a really disappointing display from one of the best players in the Premier League.

The Egyptian has not been at his best for a while now, and there are no signs that the forward is going to get back to his best soon.

Just take a look at the stats.

The 30-year-old has scored seven goals and given four assists in 20 Premier League matches for the Reds so far this season.

The forward, though, has done well in Europe this season.

Salah has scored seven goals and provided one assist in six UEFA Champions League games so far this campaign.
