Tony Pulis saw his Middlesbrough side knocked out of the Carabao Cup against Burton Albion.

Middlesbrough supporters on Twitter are calling for the departure of manager Tony Pulis after they were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by League One side Burton on Tuesday night.
Pulis fielded a very strong side against Nigel Clough’s men with the likes of Mo Besic, Aden Flint, George Friend and Stewart Downing all given starts.
But it was Albion who took the lead early in the second half, when Southampton loanee Jake Hesketh fired in the only goal of the game.
The result leaves Boro and Pulis winless in their last five matches; a run of form that has also seen them slip down the Championship table as they currently occupy the final play-off place.
Many Riverside supporters were annoyed that Pulis opted to play one striker against a side in League One; West Ham loanee Jordan Hugill was given that role by his manager.

Whereas others wanted to see their former manager, and current Nottingham Forest boss, Aitor Karanka return to the northeast dugout.
Pulis will be hoping his players can bounce back at the weekend when they travel to manager-less Reading. Dropping points against the relegation-threatened team could see Boro drop out of the top six.
