Speaking on the BBC ahead of England vs Iran (BBC1 21/11/21 12PM), Alan Shearer has been discussing Jude Bellingham’s career path.
The England star has had quite a strange career to date. He started out at Birmingham City before making something of a trailblazing move to Borussia Dortmund.
Bellingham had the chance to move to the Premier League, but he decided to test himself over in Germany.
However, after 18 months of star-making performances, Shearer says that it’s now just a matter of time before he moves to a ‘huge club’ with Liverpool named as a potential destination.

Bellingham set to move
Shearer says that it won’t be long before Bellingham is on the move.
“I think it’s working perfectly for him and his career, but I think it’s just a matter of time, no disrespect, that he moves to a huge football club I.E Real Madrid or Liverpool or something like that, that’s the talent we’re talking about. To be an England captain you have to perform on the pitch, but the way he talks and handles the press is fantastic,” Shearer said.
Wanted man
One thing is for sure, Jude Bellingham will be a wanted man next summer.
The England ace is making a real name for himself in Germany, and now he’s shining on the World Cup stage too.
As the likes of Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland have shown in recent years, Borussia Dortmund isn’t the type of club that are able to keep hold of these elite talents, and Bellingham may be set for the same sort of big move.
As Shearer says, Liverpool are contenders, and given that they’ve been linked with Bellingham for over 12 months, it’s fair to say that this is a deal that could well come to fruition.
