‘A lot’: Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris sends Arsenal top-four warning

Hugo Lloris has claimed that Tottenham ‘believe’ they can catch Arsenal in the race to finish in the Premier League’s top-four.

The Spurs goalkeeper added, with 27 points remaining for his side, there is still ‘a lot’ of points on the table for that situation to become a reality, as he told Premier League Productions.

The north London derby is always an action-packed and entertaining affair on an average day.

But, the soon-to-be rescheduled NLD is going to be one of the biggest in a very long time. 

Before all of that drama can unfold, Lloris warned Tottenham’s Champions League-chasing rivals, that they can get that all-important fourth spot by the time the final ball is kicked in May.

“There are nine games to go,” said Lloris. “So, 27 points is a lot on the table.

“We need consistency. But we believe that we can do it. I think it’s important to keep this ambition high and to push together.

“It’s the international break. It’s important to manage it well and get back strong, then return for the final race.”

Arsenal have two huge games after the international break – against Spurs and Manchester United.

Even a draw in each of those matches still puts Mikel Arteta’s side well in the driving seat to finish fourth.

But, if they suffer defeats from either or even both of those encounters, then it will seriously turn the heat up in the Champions League-chasing kitchen. 

Arsenal will back themselves in front of their own crowd against Man United, but going into Tottenham’s backyard is going to be the biggest test they may just face during these final few months of the campaign.
