Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal has turned round the fortunes of the club, but he has quite the interesting past.
The 50-year-old manager first dipped his toe into the managerial pool way back in 1998 with a club called Espinho, which sounds more like an upcoming Portuguese superstar than a team. Regardless, this sent him on a path of true uncertainty in the footballing landscape that would somehow, some way, lead him to Hillsborough.
Since that first day in management Carvalhal has been in charge of 16 clubs over the course of his career, which is up there with the likes of Walter Zenga in terms of chopping and changing teams.

Shockingly in that span he even managed to had three years out of the game, and over the years he has coached in nations like Greece, Portugal, Turkey and more. It may not come as a surprise then that the only piece of silverware he ever lifted was the Taca de Liga with Setúbal back in 2008.
The thought process behind hiring him as Wednesday boss must certainly have been an interesting one considering his track record, but it has worked a treat with the Portuguese gaffer guiding Wednesday back to a point where they feel confident about their promotion chances.
In terms of the actual clubs, this list speaks for itself in terms of his erratic history.
