The final ten games of Sheffield Wednesday’s 2013/4 season saw them drop from 14th to 16th in the Championship table.
With little riding on their run-in, the Owls were involved in some high scoring fixtures, including two 3-3 draws (away to Nottingham Forest and at home to Blackburn Rovers) which came within the space of four days.
After beating Bournemouth 4-2 at Dean Court, Wednesday rounded off their campaign with three consecutive defeats.

Stuart Gray’s side failed to muster up any end of season steam, as the Owls season fizzled out with a 13th place finish.
The 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Wolverhampton Wanderers and a home defeat to rivals Leeds United summed up a disappointing end to the campaign.
On a brighter note, stoppage-time goals from Atdhe Nuhiu and Kieran Lee helped Wednesday turn the score around against Rotherham United. Nuhiu was also on hand to score a late equaliser against Watford on the final day of the season.

Wednesday secured their place in the play-offs with a mixed run of results to close out their 2015/6 league campaign.
They registered four consecutive wins over Nottingham Forest, Charlton Athletic, Huddersfield Town and Blackburn Rovers, before a 4-1 defeat away to Bristol City disrupted their form. The Owls then drew their following three games to give Cardiff City some hope of beating them to 6th place.
However, Carlos Carvalhal’s side beat already-relegated Charlton Athletic 3-0 at Hillsborough in the penultimate round of fixtures to secure a play-off meeting with Brighton and Hove Albion.
