Rhys Williams has told Henrie Kwushue on UMM’s official YouTube channel that his Liverpool teammate, Thiago Alcantara, hasn’t misplaced a pass in training recently.
The young Liverpool defender labelled the Spanish technician ‘a joke’ and shared how he can make the most difficult of passes work.
It was an indifferent debut campaign in England’s top-flight for Thiago last season, with injuries, both to him and teammates, disrupting his rhythm and form.
But ahead of the new Premier League season, Liverpool fans will be hoping to see his genius in action because Williams has certainly been lauding him.
“I am actually thinking from today and yesterday’s session,” said Williams. “I actually don’t recall him giving the ball away.
“Even when he tries a hard pass and you are thinking, ‘anyone else 50-50 they are making that’.
“But he still gets it through the gap and I am thinking ‘you are a joke. You are a joke of a player’.”

Last season, Thiago had to play, for the majority, with the likes of Fabinho or less experienced centre-backs behind him.
Not forgetting that he didn’t have Liverpool’s strongest midfield by his side, which made his life that more difficult.
But with the Reds back to full strength this summer, it’s going to be interesting to see how Thiago performs as Liverpool push to win back the title from Manchester City.
