Alessandro Del Piero has claimed that Sadio Mane leaving Liverpool for Bayern Munich is a ‘good deal for everybody’, as he told ESPN.

The Italian legend added that the good thing about this possible deal is the fact that it is being with everybody knowing about it in ‘advance’.

Liverpool did sign Luis Diaz during the January transfer window, whilst Darwin Nunez has been snapped up from Benfica before Mane could touch German soil.

The Anfield faithful would have preferred to have kept Mane without a doubt, but whatever the outcome of this deal, the club have acted in an efficient manner.

Nonetheless, this is what Del Piero had to say about Mane heading to Bayern during these coming days.

“The good thing about this deal is the fact that everybody knows in advance what to do,” said Del Piero. “So, Sadio wants to leave. They spoke with Liverpool and everybody was okay about that and they replace him straightaway.

“That is the good part of the deal. Some may prefer that player to the other one. But I want to stay with the same players if they perform well. I don’t want to change that much. But it’s a good deal for everybody.”

CAN NUNEZ AND DIAZ REPLACE MANE’S GOALS?

There will be a lot of pressure on both Nunez and Diaz next season, especially given that more emphasis will be put on them to replace Mane’s goals.

Diaz has already got a taste of English football and started off in a pretty strong fashion – winning two trophies during his first six months on Merseyside.

But now fans will be expecting him to produce the goods over the course of the season, alongside the club’s new boy, Nunez, who will play a more central role.

Either way, whilst Liverpool previously sold Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona and more than moved on, this is different because Mane is a more proven performer than the now-Aston Villa player, so he is difficult to replace, as a result.
