Former Manchester City forward Rodney Marsh has suggested on Twitter that Leeds United could struggle after Christmas.

Marsh made the comment following the 1-1 draw between Leeds and City at Elland Road in the Premier League at the weekend.

The Citizens went ahead in the 17th minute through Raheem Sterling, but the home team restored parity through Rodrigo on 59 minutes, as the two sides shared the points on Saturday.

While Marsh was impressed with the performance of Leeds, the former City forward does not think that the Whites will be able to maintain this high level of intensity throughout the season.

Meanwhile, former Liverpool and West Ham United player Don Hutchison has raved about Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa on Twitter.

Leeds United can maintain the current high intensity

Leeds played with the same level of intensity and high press last season and the campaign before, and they were brilliant and consistent.

Bielsa’s side won automatic promotion from the Championship last season, and they had to play 46 league games.

In the Premier League, the Whites will have to go through 38 matches, and although it is a huge step-up from the Championship, one suspects that the team will be just fine.
