Former Liverpool midfielder David Thompson has mocked West Ham United and their manager David Moyes on Twitter.
As shown in the Sky Sports clip below, West Ham manager Moyes said after last night’s win against Sheffield United at the London Stadium in the Premier League that his team have another gear to go to.
The win against the Blades has enhanced the Hammers’ chances of finishing in the top four of the league table this season.
Thompson has mocked Moyes on Twitter, saying that West Ham can now only go into reverse gear.
West Ham United above Liverpool
West Ham are actually above Liverpool at the moment. The Hammers have picked up 42 points from 24 matches, while the Reds are on 40 points.
No one would argue that Liverpool have a better squad than West Ham, but this is turning out to be a crazy season.
If West Ham continue to play the way the way they are doing right now, there is a very good chance that they could end up above the Reds.
Liverpool’s chances of winning the league title again this season have gone, and now they are in a fight to finish in the Champions League places.
