However, the former Aston Villa striker – who now works as a pundit for talkSPORT – believes that Leeds “will be at the end of a few hidings” because of the way they play.
The Whites will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship.
It is the first time that the West Yorkshire club will feature in the top flight of English football since 2004.
Cascarino said on talkSPORT (6:52am, August 23, 2020): “Do I think they will go down? No because I think they will go and try win games away from home, a bit like Sheffield (United) did at times this season.”
The talkSPORT pundit added: “I don’t see Bielsa looking for draws. Even against the very best, he will still try and play a style that will win them the game. But with that, they will be at the end of a few hidings, but I think they will accumulate enough points to be safe in the Premier League.”
Meanwhile, former Arsenal star Paul Merson believes that if Leeds do not sign a striker this summer, then they will get relegated.
Merson wrote in The Daily Star: “It’s Leeds I worry about if they don’t sign a striker. I don’t see how they survive. I don’t see Patrick Bamford scoring the goals Mitrovic will.
“I hope Leeds fans don’t think they will do a Sheffield United because I don’t see it. When you try to press like they do, top players will pop the ball around you.”

What should Leeds United’s target be next season?
While Leeds are a massive club and the fans are excited about the new season, they have to be realistic about their ambition.
While a top-10 finish would be great, the Whites’ main objective should be to finish above the bottom three.
It is not going to be especially hard if the club make some good additions in the summer transfer window and make a strong start to the season.
All Leeds need to do to survive in the Premier League next season is to be better than the three worst teams in the division.
Eberechi Eze situation
One player who has been linked with Leeds this summer is Queens Park Rangers attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze.
The Sun reported in July of interest in the 22-year-old from the West Yorkshire outfit.
QPR manager Mark Warburton left the youngster out of his squad for the pre-season friendly match against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday, and he has explained why.
Warburton told WestLondonSport: “There’s interest. That’s not a secret. Everyone knows what’s going on. I felt it was best for him not to be involved. It was my decision.
“It was my choice and everyone was in agreement that it was the right thing to do. There’s so much going on and he’s a young guy and he’s dealing with the outside interest and pressure exceedingly well. He deserves a lot of credit for that.”
