‘A dying art’: Rival player wowed by what Everton 23-year-old is ‘fast becoming’

Glenn Murray has raved about Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin on Twitter.

The striker, on loan at Championship club Watford from Premier League club Brighton and Hove Albion at the moment, was impressed with Calvert-Lewin’s goal for Everton in the Merseyside derby against Liverpool at the weekend.

Calvert-Lewin scored the second goal for the Toffees on 81 minutes when he turned in Lucas Digne’s cross.

The 23-year-old England international striker has now scored seven goals in five Premier League appearances for Everton this season, while in 2019-20, he found the net 13 times and gave one assist in the league for the Toffees, according to WhoScored.

Murray was impressed with the goal scored by Calvert-Lewin and has raved about him on Twitter.

Meanwhile, former Barcelona and Netherlands international star Ronald de Boer has strongly criticised Everton forward Richarlison on Twitter for his challenge on Liverpool midfielder Thiago late in the game.

The Brazil international was sent off for his challenge, with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp subsequently telling the Reds’ official website that Thiago has told him that “he thinks he got injured”.

De Boer wrote on Twitter, which when translated from Dutch reads: “What a backward move by Richarlison … almost kicked Thiago’s career away … dark red.”
