Jack Grealish has hailed Kylian Mbappe as a ‘delight to watch’ amid claims that he is keen to join Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
Mbappe’s PSG side were beaten 1-0 by Bayern Munich last night, but the Frenchman was a constant threat on the counter.
Mbappe’s future at PSG is far from secure, but he put any rumours of a move to Liverpool and Anfield to one side last night.
And Grealish could not help but praise both Mbappe and Neymar after their displays.
He posted an image of the pair playing on his Instagram story, with the caption ‘Neymar and Mbappe, a delight to watch’ alongside a flame emoji.
The rumours of Mbappe wanting to join Liverpool have been around for a while now.
They were most strongly presented recently by Duncan Castles on the Transfer Window podcast, when he claimed that the superstar had told friends that he wanted to join Klopp’s side.
Castles backed up those claims yesterday by saying that Liverpool would be his first choice club to join.
However, any move looks unlikely without the Reds making a major sale.
Liverpool have spent very prudently since FSG’s arrival, and it seems likely that only the departure of a player like Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane would open the door for Mbappe’s arrival.
