Celtic loanee Leigh Griffiths will discover his fate on Friday after Dundee manager James McPake confirmed that talks have been held about potentially terminating his Dens Park spell [Scottish Sun].
Griffiths, who has scored 123 goals for Celtic since joining from Wolves in 2014, was handed a one-year contract extension at Parkhead in the summer.

It was a surprise call at the time, given that he’d struggled for form and fitness the previous season and had been involved in off-field controversy.
Less than two months later, though, he was sent out on loan to Dundee after failing to feature under Ange Postecoglou in the early stages of the campaign.
Some hoped that the prospect of being the main man for a former club would rejuvenate the 31-year-old.
However, he’s found it tough going in the Dee, with an ankle injury not helping his cause.
Griffiths has only scored two goals in five months at Dens Park, both of which came in fixtures against Aberdeen.
Celtic loanee call imminent
He hasn’t been the difference maker McPake hoped he’d be and there’s been speculation for some time that his loan could be cut short.
And the Dundee boss has confirmed yesterday that a final call will be made today (Friday).
“We are in discussions at the minute regarding that (Griffiths’ situation) as a club internally and externally with Celtic as well,” he said [Scottish Sun].
“A decision will be made tomorrow.”

The continued absence of fellow striker Cillian Sheridan due to injury could influence Dundee’s decision but Jason Cummings is back in the first-team fold again following his disciplinary breach last month.
If Griffiths is sent back to Celtic Park, it’s unlikely that he will play a prominent role over the second half of the season.
