Robbie Savage has told England captain Harry Kane to leave Tottenham Hotspur and ‘ideally to a team in the Premier League’.
Despite a lot of transfer noise around the 29-year-old this summer, especially with strong interest from Bayern Munich, he has travelled for Tottenham’s pre-season tour of Australia.
Whilst Harry Kane is still part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans, as of this moment, it remains to be seen whether he will still be in London come the start of September.
One thing that has constantly been thrown at the goal-crazy striker is his lack of trophies, well, whether it’s another Premier League team or Bayern Munich, then Savage feels he should pick one of the two for his next move, as he told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.
Of course, he could yet decide to sign a new contract at Spurs, but with less than 12 months left to run, you have to question why he hasn’t put pen-to-paper yet.
If he becomes a free transfer, then you can bet your bottom dollar all the top clubs would want him, including Jose Enrique wanting Liverpool to sign the ‘very underrated’ star, as Savage shared his thoughts on the player.

“I think he should leave and go and win trophies,” said Savage. “Ideally, if you can get a club in the Premier League, if the price was right.
“But if it’s Bayern Munich, if it’s a club abroad, then trophies, for me, is more important for Harry Kane than breaking Shearer’s record. I might be wrong.”

Kane chasing Shearer’s record
A certain Erling Haaland might have taken the headlines last season as he helped Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City win the Treble, but what Kane did shouldn’t be forgotten about.
Playing for a struggling and declining Spurs side, he still managed 30 Premier League goals, which takes his overall tally to 213.
That’s 47 behind Alan Shearer’s all-time record and there is every chance, if he stays in the Premier League, then he can get that record next season.
