Speaking on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, Michail Antonio has been discussing some of the dressing room dynamics at West Ham and Mark Noble’s impact.
The Hammers have seemingly cultivated a brilliant dressing room atmosphere, and it shows on the pitch as every player is working hard for one another and putting in the hard yards.
However, after the London club’s recent dip in form, Antonio claims it’s been a bit tougher behind the scenes, but he says that Noble is the player who is always the first to try to lift everyone’s spirits.
What’s been said about Noble?
Antonio was asked which player tried to lift everyone after a defeat, and he said that Noble is great at rallying the troops.
“I’d have to say Mark Noble. He’s a character. After the game he takes it hard, but after a couple of days he’s back in the dressing room being loud, having banter and trying to lift the boys, so I’d have to put it down to Mark Noble to be fair,” Antonio said.

A true captain
Noble may not wear the armband on the pitch too much these days for West Ham, but he’s still a true captain behind the scenes.
Indeed, while Declan Rice is the leader on the pitch, it sounds as though Noble is still playing a massive part in West Ham’s success with his presence in the dressing room.
It shouldn’t be underestimated just how much of an impact a character like this can have at a club.
