Bild journalist Christian Falk has said that Julian Nagelsmann has wanted to become the Tottenham Hotspur head coach for a while.
The journalist has told CaughtOffSide that Tottenham could now give Nagelsmann a ring and see if he would be open to moving to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as a potential replacement for Antonio Conte.
Nagelsmann has just been sacked as the Bayern Munich manager.
Former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has replaced the 35-year-old at Bayern.
The Times have reported that Tottenham are keen on speaking to Nagelsmann and are considering sacking Conte.
Sky Sports have claimed that the German manager himself is open to speaking to Spurs.
Christian Falk on Tottenham Hotspur and Julian Nagelsmann
Falk wrote: “What’s also very interesting is where this leaves Julian Nagelsmann.
“I know he was very surprised when Bayern first came to him, because of Hansi Flick’s job with the national team, to make that leap from RB Leipzig to Bayern Munich.
“He had another career plan in mind, specifically making a step in between before joining one of the top five clubs in world football.
“One of the clubs in this plan was Tottenham, so, perhaps, they will give Nagelsmann a call now.”

HITC Verdict: Summer move more likely
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur are unlikely to be able to bring Julian Nagelsmann to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium now.
Yes, Nagelsmann is available at the moment, but we do not think that the young manager will go straight into a new job after getting dismissed from Bayern Munich.
It would make sense for the German to take some time off and then go again in the summer.
Nagelsmann is a very good and progressing young manager, and that Bayern appointed him in the first place shows just how capable he is.
