Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha.

Tottenham Hotspur have been told to pay up if they want to sign Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.

Palace want £70 million for Zaha, The Sun report, a fee which is not unreasonable considering Richarlison’s big money move from Everton to Watford.

Tottenham have been slow movers this transfer window once again, failing to sign a single player.

Leaving it late has become their trademark, but in the case of Zaha it may not work.

This is because a deadline day bid of £70 million for Zaha is little use to Crystal Palace.

Palace have relied upon Zaha’s goals and creativity in recent seasons and they cannot afford to not replace him, or to replace him with panic buys.

Really if Tottenham are to sign Zaha, they need to do it within days, or their £70 million would become a whole lot less attractive to Palace.

The Eagles will find it tough to spend their money at late notice, and find clubs unwilling to sell as they also would not have much time to sign key players.

Even if Tottenham do get brave enough to slap down a £70 million offer for Zaha, timing is everything.
