Jeff Stelling mocked Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch on Sky Sports for complaining about Aston Villa’s ‘time-wasting’ during their goalless draw at Elland Road last Sunday.
Sky proceeded to show an interview by Bianca Westwood with Marsch, before panning back to the studios where Stelling pretended to look in a small mirror and do his make-up, in a bid to waste time.
The Soccer Saturday presenter stated that he is ‘just killing time’ and he then proceeded to ask ‘I don’t know what Jesse Marsch is going to think of it’, as broadcast on Sky Sports News (08/10/22 at 1:20 pm).

After Leeds secured a hard-fought point against Villa last week, after being down to ten men, Marsch felt that the Midlands side played at a ‘snails-pace’.
The American’s comments didn’t sit well with Steven Gerrard, who told his counterpart his team got ‘lucky’ and the time-wasting works ‘both ways’.
Nonetheless, Hartlepool fan and popular Sky presenter Stelling was seemingly in the camp that time-wasting happens and Marsch shouldn’t be moaning about it.
“Sorry, I am just killing a bit of time, that’s all you know,” said Stelling, as he pretended to do his make-up after a VT. “I don’t know what Jesse Marsch is going to think of it.
“Seriously, it was a bit rich wasn’t it from Jesse Marsch to criticise Villa for wasting time, when in the second half, and Leeds were down to ten men, they killed every minute they could and understandably so.”

NO TIME-WASTING FOR LEEDS AT PALACE?
It will be interesting to see if Leeds time-waste at Crystal Palace for their Sunday afternoon showdown in the Premier League.
Every team up and down the land time wastes, in their own way. But, given Marsch’s comments, fans will now expect his teams to do everything as quick as possible.
That’s including not taking time at goal kicks or players walking off slowly when being subbed.
Either way, Marsch has had a lot to moan about since becoming Leeds boss that even Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp is asking him for tips.
