Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club posted some photos of the players training at Darsley Park yesterday evening.

The Magpies posted four photos, one of Martin Dubravka, one of Jacob Murphy, and one of Isaac Hayden.

However, the last one has excited the Toon Army.

Why? Well, it showed Miguel Almirón back in action for the Magpies, in what is a huge boost for Steve Bruce ahead of the relegation run-in.

The 26-cap Paraguay international hasn’t played for Newcastle since the 1-1 draw against Wolves on February 27th.

As seen in the club’s official statement, Almirón suffered a knee injury and had to be replaced at half-time against Nuno Espirito Santo’s men.

Since then, the Magpies have been forced to play two games without their energetic attacker, which have yielded no wins.

Bruce has overseen a 0-0 draw against West Brom, and a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa.

With a huge six-pointer against Brighton coming up tomorrow, it’s massive news for the Magpies to have Almirón back in training.

With five goals and three assists this term, the £20 million man has been one of Newcastle’s most productive players – he’s crucial to Bruce.
