Manchester United legend, Roy Keane, joked that his old Arsenal rival, Patrick Vieira, has a ‘bit of a temper’ after he looked annoyed following Crystal Palace’s 3-1 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.
For many years, both Keane and Viera were involved in iconic battles for Manchester United and Arsenal.
But now, Keane has swapped the football pitch for punditry, whilst Vieira is trying to work his magic on the touchline at Selhurst Park.
However, Vieira wouldn’t have been too pleased with two of the goals Liverpool scored yesterday, which ended up proving to be costly in his side picking up any points.
Roberto Firmino was offside in the build to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain doubling Liverpool’s lead, whilst Palace keeper, Vicente Guaita, was wrongfully punished for a supposed foul on Diogo Jota.
All in all, after the full-time whistle, Vieira had a face like thunder when he walked off the pitch and Keane shared his brilliant response to what he was seeing, as he told Sky Sports Football (23/01/22 at 7:30 pm).
“Well, I have always said that he has had a bit of a temper,” said Keane. “It’s a decision that went against Palace.
“If you want to get a result against the bigger teams, then you need a bit of luck or the right decisions.
“We have watched it a few times. We have played the game. We knew straight away. Jota is clever. But I don’t think it’s a penalty and Patrick is right to be frustrated.”

For the Oxlade-Chamberlain goal, if the linesman doesn’t spot the offside, then it’s the job of VAR to see the error and rule it out.
But the goal stood and Liverpool went into the half-time break cruising.
What perhaps would have been more annoying for Vieira was VAR advising Kevin Friend to award Jota a penalty.
At the time, there was less than minutes left on the clock, Liverpool were on the back foot and the home side were edging closer to that equaliser.
But that penalty call, and Fabinho subsequently putting it away, took the sting out of the game and the Palace supporters weren’t too pleased with the officiating.
