Aston Villa centre-back Chris Samba has been struggling with a slight niggle recently.
Villa boss Steve Bruce addressed the media during his post-match press conference, following his side’s stalemate with Millwall yesterday, and admitted that Chris Samba’s lack of mobility is becoming a bit of a problem for his side, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Villans now sit in fifth position in the table, 11 points adrift of league leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers, but this season represents a vast improvement from last term’s efforts, and Bruce’s men look like they have a real chance fo promotion back to the Premier League.
Yesterday must be seen as an opportunity missed to keep the pressure up on the top two, however, rather than a good point earned.

Villa’s terrible luck with injuries must be taken into account though, with some of their key men carrying knocks and unavailable for selection.
Bruce sat down to speak to reporters after the game at Villa Park yesterday, and shared something that is becoming problematic for the Villans, as quoted by AVFC.co.uk:
“I don’t want to make excuses but this is becoming a bit of a problem and an issue. We have been without some big players and Chris has done really well for us. But he’s been struggling with his mobility for quite a while. He looks like he’s nicked a hamstring, which, if that’s the case, will mean he’s a doubt for next week.”
Next up for Bruce’s men is a trip to the east Midlands to take on in-form Derby County, and they will have to be at their very best, if they are to win the game and leapfrog the Rams in the table.
