Some Tottenham fans on social media have been raving over the performance of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg against Fulham.

The Denmark international put in another solid display against the Cottagers, shutting everything down in the midfield and really stifling the effect Ruben Loftus-Cheek could have on the game.

Spurs weren’t at their best against Fulham, struggling to carve out chances and finding the back of the net just once, but their sturdy defence proved impossible to break down and one goal was enough.

Hojbjerg played a massive part in that, he seemed to cover every blade of grass, and when Fulham tried to attack either through the middle or in the wide areas, he was there to crown players out and shut down those attacks.

Hojbjerg isn’t the most flash player, nor does he do anything that would usually make headlines, and fans on social media were wary of the fact he’s going under the radar.

Interestingly, one fan claimed that he’s become a little bit like Harry Kane, stating that he’s not earning plaudits for his good performance because this sort of level has come to be expected from him.

Here’s what Tottenham fans have been saying about Hojbjerg…
