Ian Wright says it has been a ‘long time’ since he has seen a player receive ‘as big of a roasting’ as the one Ben White was on the end of during Arsenal’s 3-0 defeat to Brighton on Sunday at the Emirates.
The man who was responsible for Ben White producing a nightmare performance was Brighton’s dribbling expert, Kaoru Mitoma.
The Brighton star didn’t get on the scoresheet or supply an assist, but he was one of his side’s best players on an afternoon to remember for Roberto De Zerbi’s men against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

Those three points, after losing 5-1 to relegation-threatened Everton last time out, puts them sixth in the Premier League table and increases their chances of securing a European finish this term.
It’s a deserved standing for the South Coast side, who have lost many players in recent times, including top-scorer Leandro Trossard in January to Arsenal.
The Belgian star’s exit allowed someone like Mitoma to start playing on a more regular basis and, according to Wright, he cooked White at the Emirates today, as he told Premier League Productions (14/05/23 at 6:40 pm).
“Mitoma gave Ben White as big of a roasting I have seen a player get for a long time,” said Wright. “Especially Ben White, who has been playing well this season.”

ARSENAL’S TITLE HOPES OVER
Many knew that was the case for a while now, but this has to be the final nail in the coffin.
It’s only a matter of time now and Manchester City, who are chasing the treble, could probably become champions of England by next week.
For Arsenal, they will travel to the Midlands to take on a Nottingham Forest side that are fighting for their lives and hoping to avoid relegation to the Championship.
