Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott has told Copa90 Football that he is living the dream playing at Anfield.

Elliott moved to Liverpool from Fulham last year, and he has been given a handful of first-team appearances so far.

Elliott has already impressed in a Liverpool shirt, but he is taking nothing for granted.

The prospect admits that he couldn’t believe it when the Reds first came in for him, and he is still coming to terms with the fact he is a Liverpool player now.

“It caught me by surprise, I didn’t think it was true at the time,” Elliott said, when asked how he felt after learning of Liverpool’s interest.

“I thought to myself ‘wait, is this really happening?

“Even the first time I stepped into Melwood I was like ‘wow, it’s actually true’.

“Even now there’s sometimes I take a step back and think I’m playing with players I’ve been watching for three and four years now, and to be around Liverpool is a big dream for me.”

Elliott has already shown flashes of real quality in Liverpool’s first-team, and has certainly not looked overawed.

Despite still only being a teenager, Elliott has played with a real swagger, and appears to have some huge potential.

Elliott could have to make do with appearances for Liverpool in cup competition for the time being, as his chances to start appear limited.

The Reds have Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino lining up in their attacking slots, and it will be very difficult for Elliott to push any of the trio out of the team in the near future.
