West Ham United left-back Arthur Masuaku has praised Brentford star Said Benrahma on Twitter amid speculation that the Hammers want to sign him.
According to 90min, West Ham have made an offer of £17 million plus add-ons for the 25-year-old, who can operate as a forward or as a winger.
Brentford are yet to officially respond to the Hammers’ bid, but the Championship club value the Algeria international at closer to £25 million.
West Ham left-back Masuaku believes that Benrahma would look good in a Hammers’ shirt and has said that he is “a baller”, but the 26-year-old has made it clear that he does not know if the Algerian will join the London club.
Would Said Benrahma be a good signing for West Ham United?
Benrahma is one of the best attacking players in the Championship, and he is ready to take the next step in his career and move to the Premier League.
Ollie Watkins is showing at Aston Villa this season that top players in the Championship can easily make the transition to the Premier League, and the Algerian could do something similar.
Benrahma made 42 starts and four substitute appearances in the Championship for Brentford last season, scoring 17 goals and providing nine assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
