Everton have been linked with a January move for the West Bromwich Albion forward.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Everton are considering a bid for West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino this month, with the Baggies allegedly ready to take £10million for the 23-year-old.
While Berahino would be a free agent in the summer, any English club looking to sign him would still need to pay compensation, and with the Toffees looking to strengthen in key areas they would be wise to sign the striker before someone else does.

Berahino’s stock has fallen considerably since his failed move to Tottenham Hotspur. However he is still an innately talented goal-scorer who, at the right club and with the right manager, could rediscover his best form.
Given his age, Berahino still has years before he reaches his peak and you would be hard pressed to find many strikers with his ability available for £10million in the current market.

In short, Everton would be signing a £20million-plus striker for half that and he could add the additional fire to a side that has become over reliant on Romelu Lukaku in recent times.
At his best, Berahino can be one of the top strikers in the country, and while any move is a risk this one is limited in that regard.
So what is Everton manager Ronald Koeman waiting for?
