The Arsenal man was key in Germany’s win over Northern Ireland.

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil was Germany’s man of the match in their win over Northern Ireland on Tuesday.
The Germans ran out 1-0 winners against Michael O’Neill’s side to ensure they finished top of Group C at Euro 2016.
In truth they could have finished as much more comfortable winners as they created a number of chances but failed to convert them.

Striker Mario Gomez scored the only goal of the game as he turned home after a touch by Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller. Their star performer was Ozil though, who continued to impress at the tournament in France.
As shown by WhoScored, he posted a number of impressive stats throughout the game.
In total he managed 91 touches, the fourth most of any Germany player, with just two of those proving to be unsuccessful.

The Arsenal star’s passing was at its usual sublime level as he posted 68 passes in total, six of which were key passes, and enjoyed a huge pass success rate of 98%.
Elsewhere he managed four shots and three dribbles in another impressive display despite the criticism surrounding him.
