It looks like Marko Grujic is heading back to Liverpool this summer……..again.

The Serbia international has endured quite a dismal season-long loan at Porto so far.

Since joining the Portuguese giants, Grujic, who was Jurgen Klopp’s first signing as Liverpool boss five years ago, has only managed 308 minutes of league football, across 15 appearances.

By virtue of the fact that he’s averaging only 20 minutes per game, it’s a pretty bad sign and Record have reported that the 24-year-old will be returning to Anfield in a few months, as opposed to try and sign him on a long-term basis.

Grujic previously had a two-year loan at Hertha Berlin and impressed, so much so that Liverpool slapped a £20 million asking price on him, but nobody came sniffing around.

Here’s how some Reds fans reacted to the latest report about the star:

It’s quite a mixed reaction from Liverpool fans, it must be said.

And that’s probably because he did actually do a very decent job in the Bundesliga, which makes his struggle at Porto all the more puzzling.

One thing is for sure – if he isn’t good enough for them, he isn’t good enough for Klopp’s best Liverpool XI.
