As things stand, the Premier League title race could be decided on goal difference, as Liverpool and Manchester City push things to the wire.
The Citizens sit atop England’s top-flight with 86 points to their name from 35 outings, with a goal difference of +68.
In Liverpool’s case, the Reds sit second with 86 points from 36 games, and a goal difference of +65.
If things remain this tight, and Pep Guardiola beats Jürgen Klopp to the title by a few goals or points, then Andy Robertson may feel some regret.
What’s the story?
Well, back in December, the £8m man received a straight red card for a mindless studs-up challenge on Emerson Royal, during a 2-2 draw against Tottenham.
It led to a three-game suspension for one of Liverpool’s most important players, and the results that followed afterwards proved Klopp had suffered a big loss.

The Reds proceeded to lose 1-0 to Leicester in their next Premier League outing without their influential left-back, and were also held to a 2-2 draw against Chelsea without Robertson.
Fortunately, the Scotland international didn’t miss a third Premier League game, but only the Carabao Cup win over Leicester instead.
Liverpool need Andy Robertson
In our view, Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold are absolutely pivotal for Klopp’s system to work effectively.
The 28-year-old has scored two goals while also providing an incredible 15 assists this season, so he clearly has a huge impact on things in attack for the Reds.

For example, his importance going forward was there for all to see when he broke the deadlock against Everton recently, scoring a vital goal to push Liverpool to a 2-0 win at Anfield.
We are by no means blaming Robertson if Liverpool do miss out on the Premier League title.
However, with the margins so thin, and the standards so high, he will surely feel some regret if Manchester City defend their crown.
