Hugo Lloris could now be leaving Tottenham in the worst way possible after a rumour emerged about his fitness.
The France international has been a key player for Spurs ever since his £7.9m move from Lyon back in August 2012.
Now – however – his lengthy stay in N17 could be ending in terrible fashion.
What’s the story?
Well – according to the Evening Standard – Lloris may not play for Tottenham again as he suffers an injury setback.
The 36-year-old still has over 12 months remaining on a contract which expires in June 2024.
However, the Evening Standard believe that Lloris could be leaving Tottenham this summer with Spurs likely to target a new goalkeeper, which could see the Frenchman depart in search of a new challenge.
If the Tottenham No.1 has already played his final game for Spurs, it means his last appearance came in the humiliating 6-1 defeat to Newcastle.

Lloris lasted just 45 minutes on Tyneside before Cristian Stellini substituted him at the half-time interval, after the glovesman conceded five goals in the opening 21 minutes.
The travelling Tottenham fans could even be heard sarcastically cheering Lloris whenever he caught the ball or made a routine save, rubbing salt into the wounds on what was a miserable day for the man born in Nice.
Who Tottenham could sign to replace Lloris
A number of names have been mentioned as potential replacements for Lloris.
90min believe Spurs are one of the sides interested in signing Diogo Costa from Porto.
The Portugal international has a release clause worth £65m written into his contract, although Manchester United are also keen as they consider replacing David de Gea.
Jordan Pickford is another name on Tottenham’s shortlist – according to The Sun.
If Everton – who currently sit 19th in the Premier League – are relegated, a deal for the England international would surely become a lot easier.
Whoever Tottenham sign this summer, it seems Lloris’ time in N17 is coming to an end.
