Houssem Aouar decision

Arsenal have received a blow in their reported pursuit of Houssem Aouar, with the Lyon midfielder saying that he will stay at the French club.

According to L’Equipe, Arsenal are interested in signing the 22-year-old French midfielder on summer transfer deadline day.

The Express has also claimed that the Gunners are looking to bring the youngster to the Emirates Stadium.

However, Aouar has said that he plans to stay at Lyon this season.

Goal.com quotes Aouar as saying: “[Why did I make] my choice to stay in Lyon? I felt that I could still bring something to this team and to this club.

“That’s why I have made the choice to continue my adventure with Lyon. I hope we will get up and find our form again quickly.”

Everton want a goalkeeper

According to Calciomercato, Everton are interested in signing Pau Lopez from AS Roma before the summer transfer window closes today.

It has been reported that the Toffees want to sign the 25-year-old Spain international on a loan deal, and that talks between the Premier League outfit and the Italian club are going on.

Leeds United

According to The Daily Mail, Blackburn Rovers and Watford are interested in signing Barry Douglas on transfer deadline day.

The Scotland international left-back has struggled to play for Leeds this season, and Watford and Blackburn in the Championship are reported to be interested in him.

Meanwhile, Michael Cuisance is set to leave Bayern Munich for Marseille in a loan-to-buy option today, acccording to Foot Mercato.

The midfielder recently failed a medical at Leeds, as reported by The Daily Mail, with the Whites having agreed a fee with Bayern.

Josh Cullen leaving West Ham United

The Sun has reported that Josh Cullen will leave West Ham United for Anderlecht before the window closes today.

The report in the British tabloid has claimed that it will be a permanent move for the midfielder.
