Arsenal’s Santi Cazorla’s Premier League season so far by the numbers.

With a lot of attention on Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez’s seasons so far, Santi Cazorla has slipped a little below the radar.

Yet the Spaniard has been a consistent performer for the Gunners in the Premier League, even if he is yet to hit a real spark.

There are no goals for Cazorla in 10 attempts, with the Spaniard’s last strike his memorable free-kick in the FA Cup Final.

In terms of dribbling, Cazorla is one of Arsenal’s most productive players, ranking in the top three this season.

Where the Gunners will hope he can step up, is via his end product, with Cazorla off the pace in terms of chance creation.

While Ozil has copped plenty of flak, he remains Arsenal’s most creative player, carving out five more goalscoring opportunities than Cazorla.

0 goals and 1 assist does not represent a great start for Cazorla, but he has not been terrible either, with his efficient 88 per cent pass completion rate illustrative of that.

There is no need to drop him, but with Theo Walcott coming back soon and competition for places set to increase across the attacking positions, Cazorla may have to show a little more after the international break, not just for his own sake – but for the team to flourish.
