FC Barcelona phenom Pedri has claimed that he would love to see reported Liverpool target Erling Haaland join the Catalan giants this summer.
Speaking to GSFN, the Spanish international revealed that he is eager to play alongside the best players in Europe at Barcelona, with Haaland this week bagging for Norway in a 2-0 friendly win against Slovakia.
The La Liga side are one of many clubs interested in signing Haaland, with Mundo Deportivo also reporting that Liverpool are in the chase for the Borussia Dortmund star, who is destined for a big-money move this summer.
With the futures of Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah up in the air, Haaland could be a potential replacement for either Liverpool attacker this summer, with the Reds a likely destination for the 21-year-old striker.
However, for Pedri, who has a release clause himself of €1bn (£840m), he is eager to see Barcelona win the race for Haaland, with Xavi Hernandez likely to target a striker this summer.
The Spanish international said: “It’s a club thing, it’s a signing that the club makes. But Haaland has spectacular qualities, almost everything he touches turns to goals. I hope he can come because I’ve always said, I want the best [players] at Barcelona.”
Pedri admiration for Haaland could see Barcelona beat Liverpool

Haaland’s future is without question the biggest mystery and the most enticing narrative of the summer transfer window, and whilst Liverpool could easily sweep Barcelona in terms of finances, Pedri’s comments certainly work in the favour of Xavi’s side.
After all, the 19-year-old is one of the best teenagers in world football, and Pedri’s eagerness for Haaland to sign for Barcelona could see Liverpool miss out on the Bundesliga sensation despite the factors that are in favour of the Merseyside club.
