Randal Kolo Muani has opened the door to a future Premier League switch amid interest from Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur but remains fully committed to Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt, speaking to Sky Germany.
To casual observers, Kolo Muani is merely the man who missed the chance to win the World Cup final, denied by a wonderful Emi Martinez save with 123 minutes on the clock during December’s remarkable final against Argentina.
That was, however, one admittedly-devastating low in a series of vertigo-inducing highs. Kolo Muani, a free transfer from Nantes, has made a stunning first impression at Europa League holders Frankfurt; scoring eight goals and setting up 11 more. In fact, no one in the Bundesliga has more assists thus far.

Frankfurt have a habit of making huge profits on free-scoring forwards. Sebastien Haller, Ante Rebic and Luka Jovic all left the Commerzbank Arena for eye-watering sums, and Kolo Muani could soon become the most expensive of the lot. Per Sky, Kolo Muani’s market value has risen by around £80 million in a matter of months.
Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur like Randal Kolo Muani of Eintracht Frankfurt
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham held talks with Kolo Muani when he was still at Nantes, and FootMercato believe that the 24-year-old remains on the radar of both clubs. But while a future in the Premier League holds plenty of appeal, a big-money move away from Frankfurt can wait for the time being.
“If possible, I’d like to stay and play in the Bundesliga. I don’t know what will happen in the next few days,” explains Kolo Muani.
“I’m benefiting here with my speed. There’s a lot of space for me. There’s a lot of pressing, a lot of counterattacking, (and) that suits my style of play very much. The Bundesliga is the perfect league for me.
“(The Premier League) is a great league with great teams. It’s a league that every player dreams of. (But) that’s not my goal yet. With Eintracht, we have a lot of goals for the second half of the season. And I want to score a lot of goals. At the moment, I only think about that.
“I would like the Premier League in the future. But that’s still a long way off, and a dream.”
FootMercato say that Liverpool have been ‘seduced’ by Kolo Muani’s versatility. It is uncertain whether or not he still has a place on Klopp’s summer wishlist, however, following the arrival of Cody Gakpo at Anfield.
