Jadon Sancho has talked up his relationship on England’s official Twitter channel with Jordan Henderson, amid reports Liverpool want him.
The Athletic stated yesterday that Liverpool are keeping a watchful eye on the winger’s situation, as he could leave Borussia Dortmund this summer.
The report did suggest that Liverpool only view Sancho as a replacement for one of their current front three.
But the chance of moving to Anfield may well appeal to the winger if the opportunity ever did arise.
Sancho is currently away with England, and he spoke of just how strong his relationship with Liverpool’s captain is.
He said: “He’s one of the older lads, so I’m one of the younger ones. Me and Hendo get on really well.
“We always have competitions on and off the pitch, who is better and who is faster. Things like this. It’s good to have that competition.”
Sancho could, of course, link up with Henderson on a far more regular basis if Liverpool did follow up their interest with a bid.

However, getting a deal done for the 20-year-old could be difficult, as he would be a hugely expensive target.
Report suggest that Sancho could cost around £80 million (Sky Sports), with Borussia Dortmund hoping to earn big money for the exciting prospect.
Henderson in the England squad
Sancho’s comments also help to highlight exactly why Henderson has been chosen by England.
There are doubts over whether the Liverpool man is actually fully fit, and some question marks have been raised over whether he should have been in the Three Lions’ squad if he isn’t able to play from the start.
However, Sancho shows what a vital role that Henderson has on the training ground, and that is likely to be what swayed Gareth Southgate’s decision.
